Where this began
You know the feeling.
Standing in front of a plant or flower, suddenly filled with wonder. It could be anything: the form, the colour, the scent, the way it moves.
Bring them indoors and one thing becomes clear: the vessel matters as much as the plant. When the two are in conversation, something extraordinary happens. A plant you might walk past suddenly transforms into a small artwork. Designing for that moment is where this began.
After 18 years designing consumer and medical products, I moved from Toronto to a forest in Quebec's Eastern Townships. The forest has one dominant design language: texture. It's everywhere. I started designing vessels that spoke that same language.
3D printing is the only process that makes this possible. It creates complex surfaces with forms that are impossible to achieve any other way. Each piece is made to order, one at a time from my studio. The material is a plant-based plastic made from things like corn starch and sugarcane as opposed to petroleum-based plastics. It's considered to be one of the most sustainable plastics.
Our vessels are designed to give your plants the best home: one that keeps them thriving and makes them impossible to ignore. Bringing that moment of wonder indoors.
